
Within this page you will find a guide to how I price my events. You can choose the base package price and then understand if you would like additional add-ons to your package. I will explain what is included in the base price and the benefits of adding additional add-ons to your base package.
When planning your event, whether it be a wedding and reception or private party such as a Christmas party for your company, birthday party, class re-union, family reunion, anniversary part etc., several factors need to be considered.
Most DJs usually offer a 4 hour package price knowing very well that many events especially a wedding, always exceeds 4 hours, requiring you to go back to that DJ and requesting extra hours which is then an upcharge with overtime rates that can be exorbitant. I have always realized this sneaky little trick and sympathize with the client. That's why my package is always a 5 hour event. I have found that for 80% of all events, 5 hours is a perfect amount of time. If by chance you do need more than 5 hours, then my fee drops per hour. I'm already there and set up and my day has been set aside for you. I feel no need to charge excessive overtime fees. My fee for overtime is a standard $100 per hour. I do not advise that you book me in advance for anything more than 5 hours and just be prudent and wait till the day of the event to see just how the party is unfolding before asking for additional overtime. You may find that your event winds down at the 5th hour. If by chance the event does seem to be going strong, we can always address overtime an hour or two before the ending. I will not pack up and leave after 5 hours. I will be with you till the end no matter how long it goes.
This is also a very crucial factor. Most events are booked on a Saturday and there are only 52 of these prime days for vendors to schedule. You will find many vendors will offer huge discounts for non-Saturday events just to get the extra work. I am no different. If you are able to schedule an event not on a Saturday such as Friday or Sunday, I will offer you a substantial discount in price, so please ask me for my rate reduction if you are planning an event on any other day other than Saturday.
Coming from a nightclub background with many years experience DJing in some of the biggest nightclubs all over the world, I realize the value of a nice light show. Having a dance floor or room awash in dazzling lighting effects always makes your crowd want to dance and enjoy the event so much more. That is why all my events come with a standard light show. It's no additional cost. Now there may be occasions when you will want additional lighting due to the size of the venue or crowds. I offer additional lighting upgrades that will turn your event into one that creates such positive emotions. My standard light package as part of your standard price will be a tripod tree stand with several dance floor and room effects lights that 80% of all parties will find sufficient. However, I do offer a larger light package such as lasers, smoke/fog effects mounted on an 8' wide truss system that allows many more effects to be mounted creating a concert style effect. I only recommend this upgrade if you are hosting a large event party or a wedding that has 200+ guests. Keep in mind, I will need a larger area for my show to be set up in. Usually all I need is a 6' deep x 10 wide area to include all my audio and light show on but with the extra lighting and trussing, I would need at least 10' more width. Shown below is an example of my standard package that includes lights on a tri-pod tree. Please note that the lights shown in the photo are not exactly what I have, just an idea of what you will get with the standard package price.
For the upgrade package that requires a truss system, this is an idea of what the upgrade light package will look like.

As you can see, it's a much larger set-up and does allow me to hang more lights and effects such as lasers and is impressive to say the least but does require more time to set up. This is ideal for larger audiences and venues and I do not recommend this in a small room as it will be just overkill. For 80% of all events, the standard tree stand set-up will be sufficient.
Up lighting I have offered as a separate package as this is a very important add-on I do recommend. Up lighting is floor set lights that are spaced around the room that creates a wash up the wall all over your venue. They can be set for any color and does create such a spectacular look. Especially designed for wedding receptions, these lights can turn a rather dull room in to something of elegance especially these day when brides and grooms are electing to choose off site venues such as barns or enclosed tents for their receptions. I personally love this effect and recommend it. It is an upgrade and to be added to either package above due to the time required to set up. Below are some great examples of up lighting.



This add-on mostly applies to weddings and receptions. These days many brides & grooms are opting to have their wedding and receptions held off-site at location events settings such as golf resorts, barns, scenery locations such as mountains or beaches, wine or spirits distilleries, historic structures such as mills and museums. The list and venues are endless. This requires music for the ceremony at one portion of the location, maybe a cocktail hour at another area of the location and then the main reception in another, so multiple audio set-ups will be needed, sometimes up to 3 different systems. I am equipped to handle multiple set-ups.
So these are the variables involved with pricing. Most DJs never list their prices and you need to call to discuss everything. I don't believe in wasting time and will always be transparent and upfront so you know before you call. Of course, I would still love to talk to you to explain everything and answer all question. I think once you have an opportunity to speak with me on the phone, you will realize in just a few minutes that I will be the exact person you want to entertain your audience. My experience and personality will calm you and make you realize you chose the best entertainer.

All my equipment is of the latest models and has been updated in the last year and I use the highest level of manufacturers name brand equipment. No after market or unknown name brand equipment will satisfy me to use.
